Like, oh my God, I'm like, so hot

Nothing reeks of desperation to remain relevant like an auto-portrait of yourself in a bikini in your bathroom. Exhibit A: Demi Moore showing off her "hot bikini bod" in photos posted on Twitter:

Dude, seriously? I can't say I'm surprised. Being Mrs. Kutcher is really the only thing that's kept her in the limelight these past few years. So you're a hot chick in your late forties. What else you got? 'Cause hot will only get you so far.

Demi is obviously aware that her celebrity status is tenuous, at best, if she feels the need to post photos like these on Twitter.

"My career's in the shitter but oh! look at these photos of me in a skimpy bikini! Aren't I HAWT?"

Women's lib has just regressed about 50 years. Note to Demi: you're not doing us ladies any favours with this narcissistic display. Go do some charity work or something that actually matters. You're pretty, we get it. Moving on...

That is one of the saddest damn things I've seen lately. I guess she can't even get the paparazzi to take her picture any more?

Yes, this is sad. Imagine actresses from the past doing this? Lucille Ball or Maude in their skivvies? Maude in skivvies! I just puked in my mouth...

Demi should be doing other stuff like you say... I imagine it must be very hard to adapt to going from the hot star from Striptease to stripping solo in your bathroom... The desperation is depressing to say the least!

Oh geez, I saw those pics also and thought the same thing -- she may want us to think ooh how hot for a 50-yr-old, I just thought how sad.

She has a younger husband, so she needs to do this? What, she wants to be Paris Hilton? Why not try to be Sandra Bullock?

Just sad....

It is much more refreshing to see actresses who choose to age gracefully -- Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Holly Hunter, and many others. I actually think rock hard abs are not that flattering on women over 40. (Which is why I don't have them, of COURSE!)

I'm surprisingly okay with this.

@ Beta Dad, Miss Nikki, Brahm and Anne: this is indeed a sad, sad display of neediness. I almost feel bad for her... almost.

@ Moooooog35: why does this not surprise me? Hey, maybe Demi can become a Whiskey Girl!
